Joseph D. Peles, Ph.D.

Dr. Peles has been part of BioRec’s team since the company’s inception. Dr. Peles’ academic and research background involves injury biomechanics and human dynamics. This allows Dr. Peles to address the capacity for forces to produce injuries during accidents. His Ph.D. and Master’s research concentrated on injuries to the human spine. Dr. Peles is also fully trained and qualified in the area of accident reconstruction with accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR).

In addition to his duties at BioRec®, Dr. Peles is an adjunct professor at Arizona State University. His responsibilities have included teaching both undergraduate and graduate level classes and conducting research in the area of spinal disc herniations. At BioRec®, Dr. Peles consults on cases involving restraint systems, low velocity impacts, pedestrian impacts, determination of who was driving, helmets, slip and falls, unique situations and accident reconstruction issues. His injury research background has been a valuable asset to his case analysis.
